POSITION OVERVIEW

 

dormakaba, a market leading designer and supplier of electronic locking solutions for the hospitality market, is hiring a Vice President of Sales for its Hospitality segment. The Vice President of Sales reports to the SVP of Specialty Access Control Solutions, a multi- unit business that is made up of Hospitality, Vacation Rental, Workforce Solutions and Farpointe Data.

 

dormakaba designs and supplies sophisticated access control solutions for the Hospitality sector including guest rooms through to common areas, parking and “back of the house” applications. Our solutions are approved and specified by the world’s leading chains such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt etc. as well as most economy brands and independent chains.

 

This USA based position can be based remotely or onsite at one of the dormakaba facilities located near the candidate’s current location. No relocation is planned for this role. The VP Sales will manage a team of 55 and build strategic sales growth plans that lead to the execution of company targets and metrics, including both budget and EBITDA. They will be tasked with driving annual revenue sales while also growing a strong business of reoccurring revenue.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $175,000-190,000 base salary (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Be an engaging, culturally rich and competitive sales leader for the North American hospitality sales organization comprised of 55 team members
  • Leveraging SalesForce.com, lead strong S&OP and forecasting process’s alongside manufacturing teams to ensure product availability and lead time reductions
  • Support Sandler Sales Methodology and the continuous improvement within the sales organization for consultative selling strategies
  • Be an expert in SalesForce.com and drive adoption through a high standard for CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting
  • Have a deep understanding of the hotel technology stack and develop strong relationships with technology partners (such as in the mobile credential space) to foster technical integrations which will drive sales growth
  • Manage market share and opportunities to maximize share while protecting gross profits
  • Act as customer advocate within the organization for resolution of customer satisfaction issues.
  • Advise and collaborate with dormakaba Marketing and product to ensure appropriate features, messaging and promotions are delivered; be an expert on hospitality, use cases, market requirements and personas
  • Review and recommend what industry events and meetings are valuable to maintain and attend
  • Acute awareness of competitive threats and develop counter measures as well as differentiation strategies

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

 

  • College degree
  • Deep understanding of the hospitality industry and hotel tech stack
  • A demonstrated history of sales growth leadership, or business or structural turnaround
  • Experience in managing sales teams in direct sales and through channel partners
  • Managed national or global accounts to a growth track record
  • A “digital” worker who utilizes CRM and BI tools to guide business decisions and actions and is comfortable in the role IT plays in what we sell to our customers and their infrastructure.
