dormakaba is seeking a Manual Machinist to join our Production team in Chino, CA. This position is responsible for producing and modifying machined parts by setting up and operating manually controlled machines as well as conventional mills, lathes, drills, saws, and surface grinding machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.


We're offering $2000 SIGN ON BONUS for this role!! 



  • Setting-up and accurately operating manually controlled machines and conventional machines, such as lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders
  • Verifying settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces
  • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Planning machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference plans, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Making layouts and sketches, as required
  • Using precision measuring equipment to check accuracy and quality of product
  • Adding coolants and lubricants, when necessary



  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5 years of experience manufacturing various types of machined components
  • Good math skills including decimals, fractions, and geometry
  • Understanding and experience in GD&T
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and applying blueprint specifications
