Field Service Technician, Experienced

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Service team in Baltimore, MD. This position will be responsible for the install and service of a variety of doors and related materials, equipment, and control devices.

This position is available on First Shift (6:00AM – 2:30PM) with a salary range of $22.00 - $28.00. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Mandatory overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Carry out corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner
• Install dormakaba equipment in commercial buildings
• Service equipment to the customers’ satisfaction, while setting minimum performance standards
• Perform customer service through competent procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication
• Maintain accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation and technical data
• Effectively manage assigned parts and consumable stocks

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Valid current driver’s license
• Mechanical knowledge and 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

WHAT WE PREFER

• Electrical license or Knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory
• Understanding of principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments
• AAADM certification
