Inside Sales Representative

POSITION OVERVIEW/DUTIES:

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Sales and Service team at dormakaba! We are seeking an ambitious individual who will support the Outside Sales Representative in their region with developing new customer relationships, closing orders, etc. This role blends business development, lead cultivation, account management, project estimating, and other factors of the Sales process to successfully drive revenue gains.

 

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Finds and develops new project sales opportunities through data mining, incoming emails, and customer calls
  • Responds to initial customer inquiries
  • Determines/recommends the proper products for customers’ applications and requirements within the role of a strategic product specialist and trusted advisor
  • Reviews and analyzes project plans and specifications to determine project scope, product applications, and specific product requirements
  • Estimates project cost/price to meet project bidding deadlines
  • Develops pricing strategy based on competitive market dynamics
  • Identifies all prospective customers within any project bid scenario and ensures that quotations are submitted to all those bidding entities
  • Coordinates daily activities with Outside Sales Representative to ensure proper follow up on quoting activities and to attain competitive pricing intel.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other stakeholders (Outside Sales Representatives, Project Management, Engineering and Production Operations, Finance)
  • Completes timely recording within Salesforce.com of all opportunities, status and activity updates, contacts and accounts, sales forecasts, and all other required usage of Salesforce.com (SFDC)

  • Skills or experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.com

  • Relationship management – ability to develop positive relationships with and between co-workers and/or employees or other departments
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation           
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of internal management, personnel, vendors, and assigned Financial Institutions
  • Impeccable personal integrity and strong work ethic

 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sales and Marketing
  • 2 years of inside or outside sales or account management experience
  • Experience in the architectural building materials or construction industry
  • Technical knowledge of automatic doors or other ENS products
