THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO YOUR FUTURE: YOUR TASKS

 

  • Be the resident expert on tax matters (accepting that you can’t know it all – but you know more than most and when you don’t that you know where to look)
  • Proactively review changes in legistlation for impact and recommend appropriate action
  • Lead/educate the business on future changes/required changes to improve/maintain/plug gaps in compliance
  • Work with Finance and Business colleagues to implement process and system changes to improve compliance, reduce risk or avoid potential pitfalls
  • Support due diligence of potential acquisition targets
  • Support team in adherence to tax timetables filings etc
  • Reduce reliance on external support and help build internal bench strength
  • Review of customer/supplier contracts for Commercial (with a Finance slant) risks and recommendtions.

 

WE PUT TRUST IN YOU: YOUR SKILLS

 

  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Organised structure and progmatic appraoch – ablity to priortise time and manage expectations a must.
  • Proven experience within taxation (likes of VAT, CIS, RCT more so that CT and Employment taxes)
  • Proven experience in delivery of process and/or system improvement
  • SAP experience an advantage but not essential
  • Exposure to the construction industry an advantage but not essential
  • Comfortable to communicate with and manage multiple stakeholders both internal and external (e.g. HMRC, 3rd party IT Support etc)
  • Ability to express the complex simply and make the layperson understand.
