Shipping Associate

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba has an opening for a Shipping Associate at our Hunstville facility! Pay rates start at $14/hr + OT and benefits.

The incumbent is responsible for shipping the product to the customer, whether they are an R.O./SSO, ACCD or International, according to documented procedures in order to maintain on-time shipments according to customer order. In addition the shipping clerk will fill out and maintain all appropriate paperwork in order to close orders out and initiate invoicing procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for meeting customer shipping requirements and responding in a professional, polite, and helpful manner
• Verifies outgoing shipments are properly packaged, identified, and accurately filled by comparing items and quantities against documents
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate skids are properly loaded and accurate for daily shipments
• Schedules material pickups with various transporting companies (UPS, Federal Express, etc.)
• Maintains required records of goods shipped
• Performs duties and responsibilities as described in the quality systems
• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager to support departmental goals
• Coordinates internal deliveries from assembly to shipping with respective departments
• Communicates daily with assembly concerning on-time needs

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in manufacturing or related field preferred
