dormakaba is seeking an experienced Business Process Owner to join our Finance department in Indianapolis, IN. This role will be responsible for the management and leadership of a range of process improvement and process management activities in the functional area that they support.  This is to include planning and implementing process improvement initiatives.  These initiatives may represent part of a larger project or may represent a stand-alone initiative within a function, group, or department.




  • Facilitates and/or leads in business processing modeling or improvement sessions
  • Defines, documents & implements business rules and processes across the segment.  These rules are to be translated into requirements for adoptions into future SAP GIT template enhancements
  • Partners with functional area managers and leaders to identify areas for business process improvement
  • Formulates effective strategies consistent with the business and competitive strategy of the organization and/or functional area
  • Develops and/or influences new ideas/approaches. Establish procedures and practices which promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results
  • Uses efficient and cost-effective approaches to integrate processes and technology into the workplace and improve program effectiveness. Understands the impact of process, policy, and technological changes on the organization
  • Ensures that effective controls are developed and maintained to ensure the integrity of the organization and processes. Take corrective action, as appropriate. Monitor, evaluate and focus on results and measuring attainment of outcomes
  • Supports Group or Segment IT initiatives, such as ERP or other system implementations.   Act as the liaison between IT and the functional area of support
  • Conducts interviews and perform analysis to create business cases for projects
  • Research project requests to ensure alignment with business strategy
  • Assists in communication efforts on change management issues and reinforce as necessary
  • Keeps up to date on industry trends and innovations, changes in accounting rules, and future SAP development for their respective areas
  • Supports all key integration areas with Finance and controlling




  • Bachelor’s Degree required with major in Finance
  • +5 years relevant experience in a product manufacturing business
  • +5 years hands on experience developing processes and methods for finance & controlling with enterprise ERP applications (SAP)
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems/processes with hands on experience on SAP FICO
  • Expert level knowledge of all integration points with other modules like SD-LE, MM, WM and SAP FICO
  • Bank/ACH transfers and credit card integration
  • Inventory Accounting
  • Third party tax software services integrations with SAP like VERTEX or other tools
  • Profit center and cost center accounting
  • Profitability Analysis
  • Special Ledger and Financial reporting flows
  • Lean/Six Sigma Knowledge a plus
  • Experience with at least Two full cycle ERP integration project (SAP)
  • SAP ECC 6.0 or higher experience
  • Global SAP experience – Implementation and support in more than one of the following locations: USA, Canada, Asian and Oceania/South Pacific
  • Experience with SAP & Hyperion integration for financial reporting tools
    • Excellent command of the English language, written and verbal. Spanish, Chinese and/ or German would be an asset
    • Excellent presentation skills (via phone/webinar)
    • Organization/Time Management skills are essential to plan and prioritize work; manage time pressures; deals with pressure through good planning
