Channel Development Leader

POSITION OVERVIEW           

dormakaba is seeking a Channel Development Leader to join the Indianapolis, IN marketing team. This position will be responsible for total portfolio channel alignment strategy, implementation, and execution in support of the Americas sales effort.  This is a highly strategic position that will coordinate channel penetration and program alignment across dormakaba business units.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Develops and institutionalize both an immediate and long-term channel strategy based upon current market position, current channel penetration, competitive vulnerabilities, gaps, trends and opportunities
  • Redesigns and redefines the Market Development Fund effort to support a one-face approach to the market and encourage cross business solution purchases 
  • Creates close working relationship and standard meeting cadence with the Sales VP’s and a quarterly meeting cadence with the Business SVP’s 
  • Assists businesses with developing, shaping, and managing healthy channel conflict to achieve the MTP and market penetration goals 
  • Ensures that channel marketing specialists consistently identify strategic opportunities and pursue resolutions for dormakaba gaps within their assigned channels
  • Leads the efforts to develop channel playbooks for the sales and marketing teams
  • Establishes regular a meeting cadence with customer service managers to understand and help resolve recurring channel frustrations 
  • Represents the channel development needs by participating in NPD, VOC, and other cross functional and cross business teams
  • Ensures that dormakaba is well represented in social media posts related to channel partners.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B marketing or channel management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to plan, prioritize and delegate work effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Salesforce
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% and use public transportation as needed
