Customer Service Representative - Remote - US

POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This position will provide customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner. This position will be responsible for initiating and/or implementing corrective action as needed to provide a level of customer service necessary to support the achievement of defined corporate and department goals. This position will also provide system maintenance for order related files and process data related to month end activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Receives, processes, and verifies the accuracy of orders from customers utilizing the company’s software system and customer purchase orders
- Initiates required action for response to customer service request for order changes, including the maintenance of order information files. Communicates changes to the appropriate personnel
- Receives inquiries from and/or contact the company’s field offices to resolve a variety of order related issues
- Operates a computer workstation to obtain and extract order information. Provide Customer Services management with the data for inclusion in various scheduled and special reports
- Performs assigned system maintenance to various electronic order files
- Prepares, generates, and distributes daily reports and order acknowledgments to appropriate personnel as necessary
- Provides administrative support related to the preparation of invoices for shipments of finished goods and customer samples
- Provides back-up support to other group members in the performance of job duties as necessary
- Performs duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management to support departmental goals
REQUIREMENTS
- High school education or equivalent
- 5 years experience in customer service with increasing responsibilities
- Associate degree helpful
- Ability to solve problems
- Skills or experience with MRP (resource planning) and SABLE
- Ability to professionally handle difficult customers
- Ability to be customer service orientated
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
