Keying Systems Specialist

dormakaba is seeking a Keying System Specialist to be instrumental in supporting our value equation: comprehensive, master keyed solutions for our Sales Team. This role is responsible for directly assisting our end users through keying meetings, keying schematics; AIMS design documents and general follow up. KSS’s will also operate in conjunction with our internal customer support groups to deliver world class keying solutions.


**This is a remote position based in Colorado**


Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $55,000 to $65,000. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).  



  • Attends keying and perm core customer meetings in person or via phone. In some cases, this position may lead keying meetings without an End User Consultant present. This will include completing a door schedule, defining end user needs and obtaining final approvals for projects
  • Supports and drives the accuracy of perm core orders. Processes perm core correspondence promptly after customer confirmation. Provides necessary data for quotes, schedules, and orders to expedite such customer requests
  • The KSS will be the expert in the region on keying/System Design Documents (SDD) and will create, design, and implement keying design documents through AIMS/BESTCODE in support of customer base.
  • Supports sales staff by performing on-site survey consultations for customers where applicable and/or as directed by the Regional Sales Manager. Provides necessary data for quotes, schedules, and orders to expedite such customer requests
  • Helps drive long-term relationships by acting as liaison between end users, End User Consultants, Distribution Managers, and Distributors – providing overall keying system setup support, doing SDD’s, technical assistance, training, etc.
  • Acts as a back-up for sales with technical assistance via telephone to customers as necessary (during meetings, training, trade shows, vacations, and other occasions)
  • Supports sales staff in pre-sales activities
  • Establishes periodic goals and objectives, understand how they will be measured, receive feedback from Regional Sales Manager and work towards achieving these agreed upon results within the stated time



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equal experience
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years sales support experience desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills or experience with personal computers, including email, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems preferred
