POSITION OVERVIEW

The Materials Handler is responsible for processing incoming products, recycling used/scrap raw materials and MRO items per the prescribed methods. The Materials Handler will use different types of material handling equipment necessary to complete the job required in meeting or exceeding the expectations of our internal customer.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizes material handling equipment to complete the requirements of the job
  • Unloads incoming materials from carrier using proper material handling equipment
  • Verifies for accuracy or count incoming material shipments
  • Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
  • Prepares and maintains records of shipping manifest, bill of lading or packing slips on all items shipped from the receiving dock to outside suppliers
  • Transports products ready for shipments from the assembly areas to the shipping conveyors
  • Manages warehouse storage operations by working with manufacturing to supply them with goods to meet production requirements
  • Manages material recycling functions, cleaning, sorting, testing, weighing and documenting shipments
  • Manages the oil recycling process and the wastewater

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2-4 years experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
