Quality Line Auditor

POSITION OVERVIEW:           

dormakaba is seeking a Quality Line Auditor to join our Quality department in Indianapolis, IN. This position will be responsible for conducting Product Audits, Process Audits, and Inspections as assigned by their Supervisor. This job requires an individual that can inspect, audit, troubleshoot, communicate, and manage risk for assigned products in the areas of supplied part quality and assembly process quality performance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Responsible to inspect externally supplied materials to engineering specifications.

• Inspects/audits products in assembly to product specifications and customer performance requirements
• Reports/presents audit information to appropriate personnel
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor in support of departmental goals
• Assists engineering and operations in trouble shooting problem parts and processes

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills
• Knowledge of Auditing principles and application
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of Process Improvement tools & techniques
• Experience with common inspection tools and practices (i.e., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in Auditing and Inspection of Production Parts and Processes
