 POSITION OVERVIEW           

dormakaba is seeking an  Senior Manager, Architectural Services - Remote employee to join our Marketing team. This position will be responsible for effectively building long-term relationships and consulting with lead-user architects, designers and engineers (specifiers) to drive qualified projects towards successful product portfolio sales. By which increasing sales and profits through promoting and influencing specifications of dormakaba products within the A/D community and End Users in the regional marketplace. In addition to dormakaba global projects initiation and coordination.

 

**This postition can be located anywhere in the U.S. - Remote**

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Leads Strategy and Business Development efforts, ultimately driving sales influenced by the architect and design communities.
  • Develops and implements strategy and plan for specification writing
  • Coaches, mentors and indirectly leads team of Architect Sales professionals
  • Analyzes trends with building and construction technology and share specification best practices
  • Provides support to sales leadership and reps with a focus on increasing skills and effectiveness with customers and within specific channels to drive specifications
  • Owns top opportunities nationally and leads key architecture and design accounts and coordinate top opportunities with sales leaders and stakeholders
  • Collaborates with marketing, product marketing and management for programs and standards initiatives such as BIM, WELL, and LEED
  • Leads CEU development initiatives focused on the Architectural and Design community.
  • Collaborates with marketing on web presence and prioritize sales promotional collateral focused on the Architectural and Design Community.
  • Makes data-based recommendations on segment opportunities to realize growth
  • Represents dormakaba, lead and drive influence within industry groups such as AIA, IIDA, USGBC, and CSI
  • Works with Sales Excellence & Training teams to identify and meet training needs of sales professionals
  • Works closely with HR team on selection, training, compensation, etc. regarding team members

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing or engineering.
  • 5 years in a leadership role
  • 5 to 7 years in architectural sales role with a proven track record of driving bottom line results in closed sales
  • Previous CSI interaction desired
  • Demonstrated experience working in an international business environment
  • Deep understanding of the architectural design & construction process
  • Experienced user of MS office applications, ability to read and interpret opportunities through construction documents (blueprint reading)
  • Able to conduct product training sessions for both accredited and branded venues
  • Candidate must be an effective speaker in front of both large and small audiences; able to influence without direct supervisory responsibility
  • AHC credentials
  • CDT, CCPR, or CCS credentials preferred
  • Member in good standing with the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) preferred
  • Member in good standing with the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) preferred
  • 15+ years’ experience in the door and hardware industry, which includes writing specifications, hardware schedules, field service work, and job take off for bid preparation
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% and use public transportation as needed
