Visual Designer

POSITION OVERVIEW      

dormakaba is a global manufacturing company searching for a  Visual Designer.  This role is to create innovative and compelling corporate presentations and designs for various platforms including web, print, point-of-sale and social media. This individual will work closely with senior leaders and all departments across the organization to deliver compelling internal content to keep employees informed and engaged and external content to maintain and enhance the company’s brand reputation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create conceptual designs that communicate complex ideas effectively. Elevate the dormakaba brand to ensure delivery of the most relevant graphics via the most effective method

• Design and deliver creative and visually appealing graphic concepts within PowerPoint, and other digital platforms for assigned projects.
• Translate management ideas from ideation concept through completion for presentations, web, social media, and other corporate communication platforms. Unlock their key user insights and convey them into understandable and readable objectives. Supports content development and design of Segment Management Team initiatives.
• Creates sales and marketing PowerPoint presentations complying with brand standards
• Ability to create and edit short videos that can be used for social media and events. These should effectively amplify our brand voice and build our brand affinity.
• Project managing assignments and field production as assigned by manager including both brand and training
• Maintaining a library of PowerPoint presentations and standardized corporate graphics for use in various media
• Understand and present ideas on how we can scale from a fresh design perspective. Keep current with the latest design and marketing trends, technologies and best practices and constantly have your finger on the pulse. Promote and follow industry best practices while innovating, trying new approaches and challenging the status quo.

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive knowledge in graphic design and visual design
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphic design or fine arts
• 5+ years of experience as a graphic designer
• Strong communicaton, computer (mainly PowerPoint) and organizational skills a must
