What you can expect

Based in Kuwait, and reporting to the Head of Sales, your role will focus on winning the Door Hardware business and developing profitable sales growth for dormakaba in the assigned territory through generation lead or qualification through to sales closing. This comes in the form of new sales generation while nurturing existing customer relationships You will be negotiating contracts with potential clients and meeting targets through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies.  


Your responsibilities will be to: 

  • Develop pipeline and progress opportunities through the sales funnel, while accurately forecasting revenue using our CRM tools.
  • Identify viable sales opportunities, make effective sales calls and visits to identified prospects, conduct product demonstrations, and execute the entire sales cycle until closing deals in line with dormakaba processes and procedures.
  • Effectively liaise with other Sales teams and Support Functions to ensure smooth execution of the sales process and a consistently positive customer experience
  • Use consultative selling methods and skills to understand and meet customers’ needs
  • Meet or exceed assigned individual and/or collective sales targets whilst ensuring a balanced product portfolio within your territory.
  • Execute and, where appropriate, participate in the development of sales and marketing strategies that further enhance the sales of dormakaba’s solutions in your assigned product cluster/territory.   
  • Develop and manage assigned requests for orders in accordance with the dormakaba pricing standards.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and continuous education with dormakaba new product introductions as well as industry technological standards developments.
  • Participate in sales team meetings and actively share information about sales opportunities, customer needs, interests, the potential for offering new products and services, competitor activities, and other insights from your market research


What we expect

We expect a dynamic, technically sound, entrepreneurial sales hunter who would be on the continuous lookout for new business opportunities and follow through with prospective clients until closing deals. You should be able to discuss dormakaba products' technological capabilities with our clients and develop compelling value propositions for them.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications, experience, and competencies:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or business development experience in the door hardware access business within the GCC, preferably in Kuwait.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field. 
  • A driving license in Kuwait is an added advantage.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English. Arabic is a plus.
  • Proven track record in delivering sales results in a competitive environment. 
  • An ability to articulate benefits and sell on value, not just price.
  • A strategic individual who pays attention to market trends through research, and the voice of the customer.
  • Proficient with sales management and CRM software. 
  • Result-orientated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent communication skills: listening, asking questions, summarising, etc.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Team player and strong collaborator.
  • Problem solver (always brings solutions and enjoys challenges)
