Summary

 

Under the responsibility of the Quality Control Director, the technician will be responsible for validating the quality level for mechanical / electronical l components as well as all other activities related to quality within the department.

 

 

Main responsibilities

 

  • Daily quality audit on production floor to ensure that test and assembly procedures are followed in production
  • Inspection of mechanical / electronic components upon receipt and generate the inspections reports
  • Analysis of problematic parts on production lines and creation of non-compliance reports
  • Investigate the returned parts from the production lines and customers
  • Improve processes and procedures for production / inspection
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Any other duties related to this position or required by the supervisor.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • College degree in mechanics or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in quality control or similar position
  • Strong knowledge in metrology (CMM an asset)
  • Computer skills (Office, MRP system and ERP)
  • Ability to take initiatives and capacity to work with minimal supervision
  • Team spirit and facility to interact with people
  • Have participated in continuous improvement programs is an asset
  • Knowledge of tools for continuous improvement (5S, 5why ...)
  • Bilingualism (French / English)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Easy to communicate and to give training.
