Program Manager

We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Project Management team at dormakaba! This role will oversee the day-to-day activities of a strategic program while keeping a detailed and technical view on the process and program operations from start to finish reporting on the program’s process throughout the launch.



Specific responsibilities include:


  • Develops clear, cross-functional, and attainable program plan with well-defined tasks and ownership ensuring that the program remains on the specific timeline
  • Oversees the purpose and status of the program and various projects and can use this oversight to support project-level activity to ensure the program goals are met
  • Tracks and adjusts various budgets and spending, look for gaps in work efficiency, communicate with various functional teams and suggest potential changes in the plan
  • Emphasizes the coordinating and prioritizing of resources across projects, managing links between the projects and the overall costs and risks of the program
  • Reviews overall design concepts as well as detailed designs to assure compliance with product requirements (CTQ’s), design specifications and compliance standards
  • Defines, reports, and proactively mitigates risks to a program
  • Discusses and clarifies objectives, priorities, and goals as well as articulating any changes in these with all functional team member





  • Ability to manage and report risk
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • A solid business financial acumen
  • Experience in Commercial or Residential Door lockset and hardware design and processing
  • Skills and experience with Agile Methodology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead others in team settings and on an individual basis 
  • Ability to take the initiative to research, make decisions, follow through on and accomplish multiple tasks with a sense of vision, detail, commitment, priority, and urgency
  • Ability to manage and lead those not directly reporting to you
  • Willing to get involved in specific tasks and objectives, remove roadblocks and be a contributing member of the team
  • Highly detail oriented and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment





  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Business or another related field
  • Three+ years minimum of project management work experience
  • Experience in Phase Gate Methodology or Gated/Milestone Process
  • Experience/Excellent skills with Microsoft Project





  • MBA or master’s degree in Management, Finance or Engineering
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in commercial security product
