We are now recruiting for a permanent, full time member of staff, to join our business as a WAREHOUSE / PRODUCTION OPERATIVE at our Wakes Colne, Colchester branch.




This is a wide and challenging role, where you will both Manage engineering return orders, stock and inventory from receipt to return, to assisting your colleagues with picking orders, dispatch and general housekeeping duties in a busy engineering warehouse.


  • To ensure that all orders are picked, checked, packed, and dispatched, on time, and right-first time, in accordance with current operating procedures
  • Liaise with other members of the team to prioritise the booking in and dispatch of stock to meet customer service requirements.
  • Within the role you will be required to partake in stock takes and stock management.
  • You will also have the opportunity to work within the fabrication section to cut, assemble and build stock for orders (training will be given) 


Working hours are 40 per week. Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.




We are looking for a candidate with previous warehousing experience, who has experience working towards deadlines and KPI’s. This can be a fast-paced environment and the department needs a team player who can step up to many different challenges.

As this role focuses on stock control, we are looking for a candidate who understands cycle counting and reconciliation of counts.

You will possess good accuracy skills and have good attention to detail. You will also be experience using a CRM system, preferably SAP.

This role is a great opportunity to work in a role with a varied workload alongside a supportive internal team.
