Job Summary

 

An End User Consultant (EUC) at dormakaba Access Solutions will generate sales opportunities by marketing company product lines to existing and prospective commercial end users. The EUC should enhance end users’ perception of dormakaba as a leader in door hardware. This will be accomplished by the EUC becoming competent in all types of hardware lines and electronic products and partnering with subject matter experts such as Electronic Sales Engineers (ESEs) and Architectural Consultant Reps (ACRs). The EUC  will develop and maintain their geographic area of responsibility as assigned to increase market share of the end user base.

 

 

Organizational Relationship

 

This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. This position will work closely with other EUCs, End users, Authorized Distributors, DDMs (Distribution Development Managers), ESEs, ACRs and Spec Writers. There are no direct reports to this position.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

  • Develop end user opportunities by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services to prospective end users
  • Maintain relationships with established end user accounts by coordinating with the Distributor and DDM to achieve mutually satisfactory solutions to end user concer
  • Gain understanding of new and current end user needs by following a consultative selling approach. This will allow the EUC to earn end user trust and potentially uncover additional opportunities
  • Responsible for implementing tactical programs; such as, but not limited to, “try-me” programs, etc., in an attempt to influence end users to switch from a competitive brand
  • Maintain close communication and coordination with the DDM to ensure we are meeting end user needs
  • Provide end users with on-site survey consultations develop professional presentation skills and provide system recommendations
  • Market/sell the entire door hardware “package”. Align with the subject matter experts-ESEs, ACRs and Spec Writers as needed to uncover more opportunities with end user
  • Develop ability to make competitive comparison presentations to end users
  • Assure completeness of all Account and Opportunity records and track all work in Salesforce.com
  • Work closely with teammates to achieve the monthly, quarterly and annual goals in place for your region or assigned territory
  • Establish periodic goals and objectives, understand how they will be measured, receive feedback from Regional Sales Manager and work towards achieving these agreed upon results within the state time period
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the objectives of sales leadership
  • The candidate should reside in Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 

  • Develop a philosophy of sales and associated techniques consistent with corporate objectives, goals and stated policies
  • Works under general supervision and relies on general knowledge and sales experience to achieve goals and deliver sales plans
  • Organization and time management skills required
  • Knowledge of door hardware product lines preferred; electronic sales experience a plus
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must possess the ability to make group presentations
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Skills and experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills
  • Travel 50% +

 

 

Education/Experience

 

  • B.S. in Sales, Business, Marketing or similar field preferred
  • 2 - 4+ years’ sales experience.
