Position Overview

 

Join the Best Doors Service team in Coolum, supporting customers across the Sunshine Coast and beyond. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, as well as autonomously to troubleshoot, service and install door and gate systems across commercial, residential and industrial settings, while developing your skills across a varied portfolio.

 

What you will do

 

  • Service, maintain and troubleshoot commercial, residential and industrial door and gate equipment, including roller and panel doors, sliding and swing gates, and boom gates.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and installations, including panel and motor replacements and basic receiver wiring within your training and authorisation.
  • Provide professional customer support on site; complete accurate service reports, job updates and photos; and manage tools, parts and vehicle stock.
  • Work across the Coolum service patch from Gympie to Bribie Island, with occasional travel further afield as needed. Join the shared on-call roster after onboarding.

What we require

 

  • A mechanical mindset and confidence using hand and power tools
  • A current driver’s licence and the ability to complete the required police clearance.
  • A customer-focused approach, clear communication skills and basic computer/CRM confidence.
  • A strong safety mindset, including following site procedures and using PPE.
  • Willingness to complete role- and site-specific training for varied work environments.
  • Ability to work across SEQ region and support an on call roster for a week a month

What we prefer

 

  • Relevant experience from service, maintenance, building, electrical, manufacturing or a similar hands-on environment.
  • White card
  • Basic electrical or electronics knowledge and fault-finding experience with motors, receivers or similar equipment.
  • EWP, forklift or MR licences, working-at-heights training, or a Working with Children Check – Highly regarded, and training may be supported for suitable applicants
