Job Summary

The Sales Representative - Low Voltage Channel is responsible for working with all dormakaba Low wholesalers and subsequently related value-added resellers (Security Dealers, Security Installers, Small/Medium Security Integrators) and applicable Low Voltage Channel Buying Groups within their Region and partnering (as applicable) with other key regional sales team members; to maximize dormakaba presence, visibility and overall to drive sales in a cohesive manner.

 

This role works with all our Low Voltage Channel to ensure high touch visibility at all branch locations and their customer base, ensuring the following:

  • Effective stocking of our applicable products on shelf
  • Strong brand visibility at and within the branches
  • Trusted relationships at each branch across all branch functions
    • Branch Manager
    • Counter Staff
    • Inside and outside sales
  • Highly engaged support for promotions
  • Accelerating volume of discretionary buys to our brand
    • Either through walk in traffic or based on relationship within the branch
  • Demand creation through: Security Dealers / Installers / Integrators

 

 

Sales Representative key responsibilities include demand creation, solution-based selling, retail execution, product-based training.

 

 

Organizational Relationship

 

This position reports directly to Regional Sales Manager and works closely with the entire dormakaba Regional Team(s). There are no direct reports to this role.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

  • Work with, partner, maintain/enhance Low Voltage Channel Wholesalers and their related dealers and VAR relationships with the objective of maximizing sales revenues, market share and meeting customer's needs.
  • Identify project opportunities through Low Voltage Channel partners
  • Participate in industry expos, table-top events, branch events, promotional activities and other related activities.
  • Continuous education to stay current with industry trends and standards
  • Understand competitor landscape with market
  • Build/deliver presentations & demonstrations to customers and prospects

  • Knowledge of commercial hardware & access control industry desired

  • Strong willingness to learn and apply learnings

  • Self-Motivated with ability to Independently Plan and Manage themselves with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to Provide Management Updates (written, verbal and in presentation form)  

 

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or prior sales experience (desired)
  • 0 – 3 years of experience in a competitive environment with a record of success exceeding goals which may be demonstrated through previous sales work, competitive internships, excelling in collegiate competitions

 

Functional Requirements

 

  • Must be able to make sales calls to customer sites in person, via video, and by phone
  • Must be able to verbally communicate
  • Must have good vision with ability to focus with or without correction
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Valid drivers License
  • Must be able to travel 50-75% (within Region with occasional required overnight trips as required)
