Do I always need to register to get access to the career portal?
Yes. To apply for a position at dormakaba, you need to create an account on our career portal.

Do I need to fill out the whole application form?
First, all required fields have to be filled out. They are marked with a red asterisk. If we require additional information, we will ask you to provide them during the application process. However, you are welcome to provide any information in advance so that we get a complete overview of your profile.

Which documents are required for the application?
A complete application should contain following documents:

  • A CV covering your previous professional experiences
  • Educational certificates, internship or job references that are relevant for the position
  • When appropriate: advanced training certificates
  • You are welcome to add a letter of motivation


Is there a maximum file size for the documents I can upload?
Yes. The maximum file size is 10 MB.

Is there a recommended file type?
You can upload your documents as Word, PDF, Text or Image files.

Can I change my application data (including the CV) during an application process?
Yes. Please note that changes you make in your application for a specific position do not necessarily change the information in your candidate profile. You will have to change these manually. However, we would like to advise you that all data from your uploaded CV will be automatically used when initially opening your user account. If you make changes to your CV (new/changed upload), the new data will not automatically be used.

Can I also send my application via mail/post?
No. To be able to offer a transparent application process, we ask you to refrain from written applications and make use of the career portal only.

Who has access to the data I provide as an applicant?
You decide who has access to your data. If you apply to a certain position, you have the opportunity to make your information accessible to the responsible recruiter and the hiring manager only. You can also opt for uploading your information to our talent pool so that it can be found by every recruiter worldwide. This way, recruiters can invite you to apply for open positions. You can decide on either option upon registration. A review of your decision is possible at any time.

How can I apply spontaneously?
If you cannot find an open position that suits your career goals and expertise, you are always welcome to apply regardless. In this case we ask you to create a candidate profile on our career portal. It is important that you opt for making your profile visible for recruiters worldwide, so your information will be uploaded to our talent pool and can be found by all recruiters. If there is a suitable position, the recruiting team will invite you to apply for this open position. Please also review our career portal for opportunities to apply directly.

Can I apply to another position after I have been rejected for a position I have applied for?
Of course. If you find an interesting job opportunity on our career portal in the future, we are looking forward to your application.

Can I apply to more than one position?
Yes. If you find more than one suitable open positions on our career portal, you can apply to each of them individually.

Can I pause my application and continue later?
Before you send your application, you can save the information you provided and come back to your application at a later time.

Can I withdraw my application?
You can withdraw your application anytime during the whole process.

How can I delete my candidate profile?
If you wish to delete your candidate profile, you can find the “Options” page under “Settings”. There you will find a button that allows you to delete your profile.

For how long will my data be stored?
Your information will be deleted automatically after 6 months. This time period starts after your last login.

What happens if I forget my password?
Your login information is connected to your email address. If you forgot your password, you can have it reset on the login page.

Who will help me if there are technical difficulties during the application?
You can find a phone number in the respective job offer through which you can contact us if there are any issues during your application. In  case of any questions, you can also always send an email to jobs.de@dormakaba.com.
