Punch Press Operator (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift)

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift Punch Press Machinists to join our Operations team in Indianapolis, IN! This position is responsible for setting up and operating the punch press operation.

**We're offering a $2000 SIGN ON BONUS for this role!!**

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Sets up press according to the specifications, installing/setting the proper dies, aligning, and verifying the punched produce product
• Prepares, loads, and unloads material for operation
• Checks width, length, and angles of metal before and after machine punches, forms, notches frame parts
• Reads and understands work orders/drawings to produce required parts for finished products
• Inspects parts for defects after being punched and acting if needed
• Makes equipment adjustments
• Reports production and quality data
• Ensures operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Mechanical/machine manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills
