POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Vice President - Procurement, Americas to lead the Americas Procurement organization across the US, Canada, and Mexico. This position is responsible for partnering closely with key internal stakeholders across the organization along with suppliers and partners to drive improvement in supplier quality, productivity, and cost reductions across all legal entities in the Americas (plants, markets, and assembly centers).
This position is responsible for managing a procurement spend of $400 million and will oversee a team of 65 procurement professionals with four direct reports. The VP Procurement, Americas will also direct the regional category management and new product introduction organizations.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Successfully develops and leads the Americas Procurement team by implementing and defining KPIs to meet evolving business needs while aligning with the Global Procurement organization and company needs
- Leads and coaches the team in a constructive and inspiring way and supports further development of talent
- Manages sustainable strategies for the Procurement organizations’ category spend across the Americas
- Works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development/R&D (Engineering), HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Sales and Sustainability to realize savings delivery
- Manages budgets, performs financial analysis and recommendations, and creates business performance reports as required based on group targets
- Analyzes internal demands and requirements regarding scope, quality, and service to optimize the organization/systems across the Americas
- Creates harmonized and standardized processes for developing and managing supplier relationships and contracts that are in alignment with group processes
- Supports negotiations and final agreements while leveraging global spend to increase the organization’s purchase power with key suppliers that deliver savings for the Americas
- Interacts with key stakeholders and business leaders within dormakaba and outside of the organization
- Ensures global collaboration within the procurement organization and cross functionally, supporting our ONE COMPANY mindset
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership position in procurement
- Experience in a global matrix organization with international experience preferred
- Experience leading regional procurement organization
- Understanding and experience in the different procurement roles including category management, operational procurement and NPI
- Background in change management and transformation preferred
