We are now looking for a Business Development Salesperson based in the London/South East area to join dormakaba, a world leader in entrance systems and security technology, and become an integral part of our dynamic and expanding ACS/ESC Sales team. Responsible for building the ESC (physical entrance control products) business in London, an area of the business that is rapidly growing, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to use their skills and experience to both drive business growth and develop new business.



Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Securing new business, by working alongside the customers to understand their needs and offer solutions that are fit for purpose. This includes discussing and educating customers on our products and solutions, providing competitive quotes, negotiating on price, and continually communicating to ultimately win their business.

  • The role will be expected to initially cover the London area, which offers huge potential and will require the Salesperson to manage their diary to maximise on all opportunities.

  • As the customer base grows, the role will be expected to continue to generate new business while also ensuring our existing customer base continually receives exceptional customer service.

  • As the first point of contact for our customers, you will be expected to communicate through the whole sales and liaise with all internal departments to ensure the delivery of the project run smoothly to support repeat business.


This role requires collaboration with departments to ensure delivery runs smoothy, as well as working with departments such as marketing to ensure we have the best literature for engaging and securing customer confidence as well as to ensure customers are regularly contacted, both physically, and via email updates, to increase and build on our sales leads.


In the team, we use a CRM system (Salesforce) and so as a Salesperson you will be required to continually update the system to report of active sales leads as well as to be able to provide a number of reports to track performance.




This is a new role joining an existing successful team with a huge amount of potential for high achievement. We are looking for someone with a range of competencies and is able to work in a consultative but sales driven manor with focus on offering the complete solution utilising the dormakaba range of products, and who has a passion for what they do with attention to detail. We want to find someone who shares our excitement in developing the business opportunities in London.


We can provide training on all our products and solutions, but having experience working in a transferable industry, working with a similar customer base and approach to business would be advantageous. You will have a desire to learn, build on your skills and to excel in this role. 


You will have outstanding customer service experience and the ability to build positive customer relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will be a confident communicator and a proficient user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems - salesforce is desirable, however, not essential.
