POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Service team in Tampa, FL. This position is responsible for providing service and performing preventative maintenance on automated door systems.
**This will be a remote role based in Tampa, FL**
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24.00 - $30.00 (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) PRIMARY DUTIES
- Carries out corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of automated door systems in a professional and customer-oriented manner
- Installs automated door products and parts in commercial buildings
- Diagnoses and resolves automated access systems issues resulting in less than optimal performance. Ensures that systems are functioning to the customers’ ongoing satisfaction
- Projects a customer first service image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers
- Maintains accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation and technical data
- Manages assigned parts and consumable stocks effectively
- Communicates with Sales and Service management about customer complaints and sales opportunities
- Additional related tasks as directed by company management
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid current driver’s license
- Mechanical knowledge, 3-5 years relevant experience
- An exceptional candidate would have an electrical license or knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments, or AAADM certification
