Position Overview

The AI SEAL SAP designs and builds AI-enabled SAP capabilities for the RECITE ERP transformation and exposes SAP processes and data safely through governed enterprise AI platform patterns. 

The role strengthens SAP build quality, accelerates value realization, and ensures AI use cases are secure, compliant, and aligned with SAP S/4HANA transformation objectives. 

The AI SEAL SAP works hands-on across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, ABAP, Fiori/UI5, Integration Suite, APIs, workflows, events, and data services to implement AI-enabled process improvements. 

The function partners with the AI Champion, SAP process owners, Solution Architects, AI CoE, Data & Analytics, security, and system-integrator teams to translate business priorities into governed, production-ready SAP AI solutions 

What you will do

• SAP Build & Remediation 
• Design, develop, and remediate SAP capabilities across S/4HANA and related SAP services, including extensions, workflows, APIs, and Fiori/UI scenarios. 
• Support quality improvements in SAP process design, custom developments, integration points, and documentation. 
• Challenge system-integrator SAP architecture and implementation decisions with evidence and alignment to enterprise standards. 
• AI-Enabled SAP Process Automation 
• Identify and build AI-supported process steps in finance, sales, service, supply chain, master data, and programme operations where relevant to RECITE. 
• Expose SAP capabilities to agents through governed tool patterns and platform-mediated access rather than uncontrolled direct integration. 
• Design read/write actions with proper tiering, validation, approvals, and human-in-the-loop controls for sensitive SAP transactions. 
• Integration, Identity & Security 
• Implement secure access to SAP data and functions using enterprise identity, roles, authorization checks, and least-privilege principles. 
• Preserve source-system security trimming and segregation-of-duties expectations in AI-supported workflows. 
• Work with integration teams on BTP Integration Suite, APIs, event-driven patterns, and cross-system process orchestration. 
• Data Quality & Knowledge Grounding 
• Support SAP master data and process data quality improvements required for reliable AI use cases. 
• Enable retrieval, grounding, and citation patterns for SAP-related knowledge, process documentation, and transactional context where permitted. 
• Collaborate with MDM, Data & Analytics, and AI Platform teams to improve data readiness and observability. 
• Collaboration & Delivery 
• Work as execution partner for the AI Champion and collaborate with SAP process experts, solution architects, developers, integration specialists, security, and SI teams. 
• Provide transparent delivery status, technical risk view, dependencies, and improvement recommendations. 
• Support testing, operational readiness, and adoption in target SAP process areas. 
• Governance, Quality & Compliance 
• Ensure SAP AI solutions pass design, security, operational-readiness, publish, and change-control gates. 
• Apply AI CoE guardrails, data privacy standards, auditability, and regulatory expectations. 
• Implement evaluation, telemetry, and performance monitoring where required for production AI services. 

What we require

• Minimum 10 years in SAP engineering / architecture with hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA environments 
• Strong experience with ABAP, Fiori/UI5, BTP, Integration Suite, APIs, workflows, or comparable SAP extension technologies 
• Experience in global ERP transformation programmes and collaboration with SI delivery teams 
• Practical exposure to AI-enabled automation, RAG, agents, or enterprise AI platforms is strongly advantageous 
• Experience with SAP authorization concepts, data models, integration patterns, and production quality standards 
• Strong SAP S/4HANA engineering and extension skills 
• Ability to design and build governed SAP AI tools/actions with secure platform-mediated access, Experience with SAP Joule 
• Understanding of SAP business processes, data models, authorization concepts, and audit expectations 
• Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, APIs, events, and cross-system process integration 
• Ability to translate SAP process requirements into reliable technical solutions and acceptance criteria 
• Ability to act as senior technical contributor within SAP workstreams and the AI delivery pod 
• Experience guiding process experts and developers on solution design and implementation quality 
• Ability to influence without authority and raise architecture or delivery risks constructively 
• Strong communication with business, architecture, security, data, and SI stakeholders 
• Hands-on, technically curious, structured, quality-minded, security-conscious, pragmatic, collaborative, focused on business value, and able to work effectively under transformation delivery pressure.

What we prefer

• Knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Build, SAP AI Core, or AI-assisted SAP development patterns 
• Experience with Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or comparable AI/platform services 
• Data quality, MDM, and process mining experience, e.g. Signavio, is advantageous 
• German - Colloquial knowledge (not mandatory)
