Service Technician Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Service Technician Lead is the key organizer and communicator to running large (over $100,000 revenue in labor) projects or long-term engagement installations (over 1 month) in the field.

This person will work in the field in Austin, Texas, and will be required to travel to surrounding areas and potentially to anywhere within the US.

The rate of pay for this role will range from $25/hr. to $40/hr. (to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead all National Install Team Installers
• Communicate job site progress, issue and conflict resolution with end-users on site
• Serve as a company liaison by sharing consistent reports of job progress to the end-user customer, distribution customer, EUC, DDM and Field Install Manager
• Ensure that the project is completed as efficiently as possible with unwavering dedication to excellent product performance
• Communicate with the Field Install Manager and with other management to grow and develop National Account Technicians into Regional Technicians; mentorship of the team with genuine interest in their development is a must
• Provide technical training/certification to end-users, distribution partners, integrators, technicians, and sales staff with respect to Wi-Q and with other security products/software/systems offered by AHS/ACS
• Maintain all training/certifications required to support all products in the AHS/ACS portfolio
• Communicate with Installation Technicians by answering questions and receiving information

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Knowledge/experience with IT and computer networking
• Knowledge of the security hardware industry
• Commercial door hardware experience
• Knowledge of construction principles and practices
• Valid state driver’s license, without restrictions

Travel Requirements

• Ability to relocate to Austin, TX for 1+ yrs.
• Ability to move to assignment elsewhere in the US following completion of project (relocation costs are covered for projects lasting 1+ yrs., costs for monthly trips back to home base are reimbursed for projects less than 1 yr.)

Physical Requirements

• Work and communicate verbally in a construction environment and via telephone
• Use close vision with or without correction
• Reach with hands and arms, climb a ladder, balance
• Work with low voltage and use electronic testing equipment
• Lift 60 lbs.
