POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Birmingham, Alabama. This position will be responsible for the install and service of a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $22-$30/hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $3,000 Sign-on Bonus (eligible for candidates with a current AAADM certification)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Carrying out corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of automated access doors and equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
- Installing dormakaba products in commercial buildings.
- Maintaining accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation and technical tools.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Valid current driver’s license and demonstrated history of safe driving
- Mechanical knowledge, 3-5 years relevant experience
- Physical requirements include ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Frequent standing, stooping, crawling, climbing, and working overhead.
WHAT WE PREFER
- Electrical license or knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments
- AAADM certification
