Our specifications team is the part of the business which identifies new opportunities, links with our clients in the construction sector, both new and existing, and ensure that these clients have access to the full range of dormakaba products to ensure that their project has the most up to date and effective systems available. 

 

WE ARE NOW SEEKING A SPECIFICATIONS CONSULTANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR CLIENTS IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND

 

A JOB THAT MATTERS : YOUR TASKS

 

As a Specification Consultant, you will work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to support in securing sales, by demonstrating products but also ensure the continuity and business relationship by supporting current customers ensuring their solutions are up to date and working to customer satisfaction. This is a field based post so you will work from home, organising your own day and setting yor own goals. Ideally we need someone based in the M62 coridor but other locations in the North of England will be considered.

 

Day to day tasks may include:

 To work with architects in area to become the trusted advisor for dormakaba product clusters.

  • Track project progression via CRM system.
  • Take the lead in Major Projects to ensure all clusters (sales teams and managers) know of key dates and project objectives.
  • Once project is Out to Tender assist sales team when and where needed.
  • Education of architects and consultants on new product and process initiatives.
  • Work with Product Management and Marketing on product feedback and lead generation initiatives.
  • RIBA Approved CPD’s to be given to architects and consultants practices.

 

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS : YOUR SKILLS

  • As this is a technical sales role, we are looking for candidates who have experience within sales in the building technology sector and who have a technical aptitude and enthusiasm for this sort of product.
  • Targets should be your "bread and butter" so we are looking for someone who is organised and can plan to successfully set out and achieve goals. 
  • We need someone with excellent time management skills and has the ability to work on several major projects at one time, whilst also providing support, to either internal or external customers.
  • As this role is customer facing, we may require the right candidate to train others, so you will be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, great communication and be able to present in a confident, clear way and be able to adjust your communication to suit the audience.
