POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for all aspects of inventory management within their respective area of responsibility. He/she develops a close working relationship with the technicians, dispatchers, administrative support team, and regional management. The Warehouse Coordinator ensures that the technicians are supplied with the parts and equipment they need to care for dormakaba’s customers, and that the company’s records accurately reflect available inventory.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.00 - $30.00 (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Unload shipments and put away parts and installation packages
- Prepare and send shipments to technicians, dormakaba locations, customer locations, etc.
- Monitor the inventory of the warehouse and Service/Installation vans to ensure that all necessary stock transfers are completed efficiently and accurately
- Ensure that all compliance, process reporting, and safety procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that all transactions (receipts, transfers, shipments) are performed accurately and timely
- Inform dispatchers and managers of availability of needed parts
- Run weekly reports on parts usage by tech/van and replenish on a regular basis
- Ensure that safety procedures and processes are understood and followed
- Ensure that the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and safe
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- A valid state driver’s license, without restrictions
- Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills (MS Office), MS Project
WHAT WE PREFER
- Experience in automatic door industry and or with inventory, shipping, receiving
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems
