Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a Production Control Assistant based in Chino, CA. The Production Control Assistant is responsible for providing support in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments in a manufacturing environment. Position is expected to interact frequently with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping, Customer Service and Engineering.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Hourly Salary $20.00 - $28.00 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
What you will do
- Collect data and generate reports for labor utilization and efficiency
- Compile work order packages including creation of any required labels
- Pull work orders for production schedules for assigned work centers and product lines, prioritizing and expediting
- Support Production Planners in the preparation of production cell schedules
- Verify part shortages on work orders
What we require
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis and reporting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
What we prefer
- College credits or degree preferred in business or supply chain management
- Familiarity with production planning processes
- Previous ERP experience
- Experience in supply chain planning
