Shipping Clerk

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing and coordinating outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments, collaborating, and communicating with team members, Customer Service, service providers, Quality department and others involved in the shipment of products.

This position is available on First Shift (7AM – 3:40PM) with a pay range of $17.50 - $20.00. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Accurately identify and gather product as required for purpose of shipping
• Coordinate shipping and transportation needs with freight carriers
• Create shipping labels, bills of materials and packing slips as well as any other necessary shipping documentation
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for daily material transactions and daily requisitions
• Load or unloads all inbound and outbound truck of material
• Count, and pack as defined all material for warehouse stocking
• Use (WMS) Warehouse management system for purpose of material look-up, inventory availability, locations, work order issuance and tracking
• Communicate for the purpose of defining all material discrepancies, questionable material request, damaged or mis-handled materials, errors in system counts vs. on hand physical counts, mislabeled items and incorrectly located stock
• May be required to assist in packaging and crating, parts pulling and assigned physical inventories when scheduled
• Operates powered forklift (sit-down and stand-up) in a safe manner

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Previous warehouse experience in shipping and receiving
• Certifiable to operate powered forklift equipment (stand-up and sit-down)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Good basic computer skills in Microsoft Windows applications, word, excel, email and warehouse management systems

WHAT WE PREFER

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in Fed-Ex, UPS, DHL and other online shipping processing systems for the purpose of routing, creating a manifest, shipping and other related shipping documents
