Due to growth in our area, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the QLD team. In this role you will be for providing business development support to the sales team to ensure we capture and hold specifications through the complete project process. 

 

This role will focus on the development of the Electronic access product segment of the business and all key product segments for growth. This role is to seek new market opportunities and to ensure specified projects for all product groups are successful. Experience in Electronic Access products and Master Keying will be looked upon favorably.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in selling technical building products and solutions. Ideally you will have a genuine passion for innovative and knowledge of commercial building landscape. This combined with an approachable & engaging personality that thrives on client interaction will see you building strong and effective working relationships.

 

This role will be commencing in July 2025

 

THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO YOUR FUTURE: YOUR TASKS

 

  • Drive successful outcomes and be accountable as the Business Development Manager for the specification for all product groups in the dormakaba portfolio
  • Focus on developing markets opportunities for products that are a key focus of the business, ie: Electronic Access, Architectural, Automatics products and more.
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders’ both internally and externally within specification process to ensure the success of all specifications.
  • Build and expand the presence of dormakaba with builders and developers and key stake holders across the state by building strong customer relationships to fully exploit the market potential.
  • Liaise with all sales channels within the state to co-ordinate completion of all product specified within a project

  • Project specification experience across all key stakeholders – Builders, Distributors, Architects, Specifiers.
  • Proven track record in engaging with and specifying to major commercial builders across Queensland.
  • The ability to read and understand floor plans and technical detail.
  • Great communication and planning skills to ensure you communicate effectively with different sales channels internally and key external influencers. 
  • Experience using BCI, and CRM tools
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and think outside the box
