POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Clerk to support our Dallas, TX (Mesquite) location. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management for their areas of responsibility as well as other pertinent job-related duties.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Loads and unloads deliveries and shipments
  • Develops a close working relationship with the technicians, dispatchers, administrative support, and corporate functions
  • Works closely with administrative teams and technicians to ensure that all necessary stock transfers required from the technicians are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Ensures that all compliance, process reporting, and safety procedures are adhered to
  • Ensures that all transactions (receipts, transfers, shipments) are performed accurately and timely
  • Discusses staged materials and needed parts with dispatchers and managers
  • Runs weekly reports on parts usage by tech/van and replenish on a minimum weekly basis
  • Ensures that safety procedures and processes are understood and followed
  • Conducts regular safety and inventory checks in the warehouse
  • Works closely with dispatchers to ensure that jobs are aligned with the actual availability of parts 
  • Performs inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
  • Provides quotes and order parts for stock parts

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid state driver’s license, without restrictions, is required for this position
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of inventory management
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to sit/walk/stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to efficiently use computers and inventory management systems 
  • Ability to set priorities and work in a highly measured environment
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple requests and projects at the same time
  • Good attention to detail and ability to analyze and solve problem
