Position Overview

 

The Data Scientist – Predictive Analytics applies advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and drive data-informed decisions. By translating data into meaningful business value, the Data Scientist contributes to dormakaba’s vision of becoming a truly analytics-driven organization.


What you will do

 

Predictive Modeling and Advanced Analytics Development

  • Design, develop, and validate statistical and machine learning models (e.g., forecasting, classification, optimization) to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Operationalization and Deployment of Analytics Solutions

  • Build and deploy predictive models and analytics pipelines into production environments using cloud-based and enterprise platforms.

MLOps, Monitoring, and Model Lifecycle Management

  • Implement and manage model lifecycle practices, including versioning, monitoring, retraining, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Requirements Translation

  • Partner with stakeholders across Business Intelligence, Finance, Operations, Commercial, and IT functions to translate business challenges into analytical and predictive solutions.

Data Governance, Documentation, and Compliance

  • Ensure analytical solutions comply with enterprise data governance, security, and documentation standards.

Continuous Improvement and Analytics Maturity Advancement

  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve model performance, and elevate predictive analytics capabilities across the organization.

Insight Communication and Decision Support

  • Collaborate with business partners across Operations, Commercial, Finance, and other functions to communicate analytical findings, forecasts, and recommendations through dashboards, visualizations, and compelling data storytelling tailored to non-technical audiences.

 

What we require

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in data science, predictive analytics, machine learning, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong expertise in statistical forecasting and demand planning methodologies, including hierarchical forecasting models, intermittent demand forecasting, forecast bias and coverage metrics, and other advanced forecasting performance measures beyond MAPE.
  • Strong experience working with enterprise data sources, particularly SAP and Salesforce.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and cloud-based analytics platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Experience with Databricks is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning model development, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent English is required.
