Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Electrical/Electronic Technician to join our dynamic team. This key role will be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of machines and tools on the shop floor, as well as assisting with building facility upkeep. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement activities, and meeting quality, health, and safety standards.
Job Description:
- Maintain and calibrate machines and tools on the shop floor.
- Perform internal calibration of machines and tools as needed.
- Verify and correct fabrication orders, delivery notes, and final inspections of applicable products.
- Assist with building maintenance activities, ensuring the facilities are in top working condition.
- Actively participate in mock-ups and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for quality control, health, and safety.
Successful Applicant:
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- A Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical/Electronic Technician.
- Experience in reactive and preventive maintenance within a factory environment.
- Basic computer knowledge and English proficiency.
- Ability to follow and enforce safety and quality standards in line with company policies.
- Experience with mechanical service parts and minor mechanical repairs is preferred
- Knowledge of 5S methodology and familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles is an added advantage
