A job that matters: your tasks

  • Develop and implement DFA strategies to optimize product design for high-efficiency assembly and automation
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams to ensure designs are suited for automated production
  • Plan automation concept handover for realization & monitoring of the realization of the assembly concept, follow-up control
  • Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for automation integration
  • Identify and implement design simplifications that reduce part count, assembly time, and material waste
  • Utilize CAD, simulation, and DFMA tools to evaluate and improve product designs
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new automation technologies, and best practices in DFA
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance assembly line efficiency and reduce defects
  • Provide training and mentorship to design engineers on DFA principles and best practices

 

An experience that matters: your skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in DFA, DFMA, or automation-driven product design
  • Strong knowledge of design principles for automated and manual assembly
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or AutoCAD)
  • Experience with DFMA tools
  • Familiarity with robotic automation, PLCs, and industrial automation processes
  • Fluent English, German nice to have
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, electronics, or consumer goods industries
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, and smart factory concepts
  • Certification in DFMA
