We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Market & Competitor Intelligence professional to oversee our market intelligence network, identify market trends, uncover growth opportunities, and develop a forward-thinking competitive strategy. In this position you will report to the Vice President Strategy & M&A.
A job that matters: your task
- Monitoring economic developments and market-specific trends, with a focus on the construction and security industries
- Collecting and analyzing data from various sources, interpreting results, and promoting alignment with markets and functions or proposing improvements as needed
- Consolidating and benchmarking of competitor information
- Documenting competitors' M&A activities and providing analytical support to the M&A team in the pre-deal phase, particularly in target screening and due diligence
- Defining a global reporting structure and ensuring implementation
- Planning and commissioning market research surveys; monitoring core markets and defined adjacent markets; maintaining expertise and leading expert topics within the global network
- Maintaining the global market model and aligning with the global budget process, regional market activities, as well as CRM and training initiatives
- Supporting and promoting market-oriented projects in strategy, in collaboration with markets, product management, and marketing, for specific analyses
- Establishing and managing a global market intelligence network; maintaining and updating an information hub to ensure accessibility for the relevant community
A job that matters: your task
- Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5-8 years of professional experience in Market Intelligence, Marketing, Product Management, or a similar market-facing role
- Experience in defining and implementing Market Intelligence Systems/Reporting is recommended
- Industry-specific experience is a plus
- Fluency in English; German is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel for business purposes (approximately 20% of the time)
