THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO YOUR FUTURE: OUR OPPORTUNITY

We’re expanding our Specifications team and looking for a Junior Specifications Writer to help us deliver exceptional results across some of the countries’ most high-profile construction projects — from commercial complexes and multi-residential towers to hospitals and airports.

Based in Hallam, you’ll collaborate closely with our State and National Sales teams to develop detailed specifications and schedules for all product solutions. You'll work across multiple product categories, including:

  • Architectural Door Hardware
  • Automatic Entrance Solutions
  • Electronic Access Devices & Control
  • Master Keying & Keying Systems
  • Glass Door Hardware
  • Door Seals
  • Roller and Panel Doors

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining detailed specifications and schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project needs.
  • Reviewing and validating specifications for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client goals.
  • Supporting sales efforts by aligning technical specifications with strategic objectives.
  • Keeping comprehensive and organised records of all specifications and revisions.
  • Engaging with clients through CPD events and industry networking opportunities.
  • Responding to queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Managing an existing client portfolio while identifying and developing new opportunities.
  • Conducting market research to identify upcoming projects and key decision-makers.
  • Using EntriWorX for precise specification writing.
  • Maintaining accurate customer data within Salesforce.

Your primary clients indirectly will be architects, developers, designers, builders, hardware distributors, and contractors.

YOUR SKILLS

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a sharp eye for detail and an engineering mindset. You’re someone who enjoys solving complex problems, communicates clearly, and thrives in a collaborative, professional environment.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and develop technical specifications.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to challenges.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritisation.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Experience with EntriWorX or Salesforce Lightning is a plus – but a willingness to learn is just as important.
  • A degree in engineering or architecture (preferred, not essential).
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) is desirable but not mandatory.
