THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO YOUR FUTURE: YOUR TASKS

 

We are now recruiting for an organised and enthusiastic Purchasing Assistant to help in the smooth and effective running of our purchasing function, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

 

As part of this role, you will be supporting the purchasing team with all purchasing administration, including stock control and, process improvement to ensure a smooth running of our supply chain to support all our dormakaba customers.

 

  • Plan, maintain and review raising of purchase orders within our ERP (SAP) system.
  • Working with Supply Chain Coordination, to monitor, report and control stock levels, whilst contributing to continuous improvement of processes and maximising stock turns.
  • To manage, maintain and improve the working relationships with relevant suppliers.
  • To assist the purchasing team to identify potential areas for savings and in the maintenance and improvement of dormakaba supplier terms and conditions, whilst ensuring that all suppliers adhere to these, including signing of the dormakaba supplier Code of Conduct.

 

WE PUT TRUST IN YOU: YOUR SKILLS

 

We are looking for candidates who have experience in a purchasing role, however, we will consider applications from candidates who have a desire to work within purchasing department and have previous experience in a high-volume administrative role.

 

We are also looking for the following skills:

 

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Great communication ability, as you will be required to liaise with both internal and external customers.
  • Competent IT user, experience with Excel and MRP systems would be beneficial.
