POSITION OVERVIEW

The Controls Technician is responsible for installing, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repairing the control systems along with their related software, hardware, and equipment. These systems include energy management existing and new construction. The Electrician is responsible for performing all work within federal, state and local regulations and guidelines.

 

This position may be available on First Shift (6AM – 2:30PM) or Third Shift (9:30PM - 6:00AM) with a base pay of $30/hr.  Mandatory overtime as needed.

 

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to control and monitoring systems and perform needed repairs

  • Test and calibrate systems devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring system

  • Install, modify, and maintain system hardware such as electrical conduit, sensor wiring, power supplies, control system enclosures, etc.

  • Maintain operator workstations including creating/updating, maintaining a point database, and maintaining infrastructure

  • Program control systems using appropriate system program language for proper sequences of operations and operating schedules

  • Read and modify, where necessary, appropriate system blueprints and schematics

  • Maintain appropriate logs and records of system operations

  • Maintain and repairs AC and DC motors and control systems, Lighting systems, Transformers, Flame Control Systems, M.C.C./Switchgear

  • Audit electrical systems for operational and safety conditions, identifying potential hazards and correcting them.

  • Familiar with Ladder logic and PLC

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience installing and maintain building/plant control systems and their related equipment

  • Advanced abilities in use of a PC and application software

 

WHAT WE PREFER

  • 2 years of electrical technical training, associate degree in related technical field
