EH&S Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a EH&S Coordinator based in our Indianapolis, IN manufacturing facility. This role will report directly to the EHS Manager and is responsible for plant wide improvements and interactions with plant employees to build a better and stronger safety culture. The EH&S Coordinator will focus on the eliminating the risk of non-compliance and cost reduction of injury claims.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55,000 to $86,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide administrative support for all areas within Environmental, Health and Safety department, working directly for the site EHS Manager

• Provide general safety training including EHS new hire orientation

• Responsible for timely and accurate data entry for EHS reports and reporting systems

• Will update, maintain, and track internal key EHS metrics

• Assist with maintaining EHS documentation including reviewing and updating EHS procedures, training materials, and segment EHS communication

• Manage and support various EHS meetings which includes documenting minutes, action items and providing appropriate follow-up

• Maintain site SDS system for accuracy

• Assist with management of worker’s compensation cases to achieve closure

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental management, or closely related field or 5 -7 years of relevant experience

• 1-3 years experience with EHS or closely related programs
