Controls Electrician

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Controls Electrician to join our Facilities Maintenance team in Indianapolis. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repair facility services, branch circuits, electrical equipment and controls of varying design or complexity, including existing and new construction. 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26.80 - $35.95 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Maintains/monitors electrical stock and parts inventory at appropriate levels to ensure facility work production
• Installs electrical systems and conduits as defined by customer or engineers
• Maintains and repairs: AC and DC motors and control systems, Lighting systems, Transformers, Flame Control Systems, M.C.C./Switchgear
• Audits electrical systems for operational and safety conditions, identifying potential hazards and correcting them
• Performs pipe fitting installations and repairs, per regulated codes, in the manufacturing plant and general offices

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical school in basic industrial electricity required
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• State license preferred
• 3-4 years work experience in a manufacturing setting
• Must have a strong understanding of motor control circuits and electrical distribution circuits
