Finishing Machinist I

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Finishing Machinist I, based in Indianapolis, IN. The Finishing Machinist I is responsible for meeting production standards without jeopardizing quality, reporting problems to the supervisor and assisting in solving them

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $18/hr. - $19/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ensure proper machine operation by checking the set-up of the machine
• Perform simple set-ups of machine, according to production orders. 
• Report any problems to supervisor. 
• Perform duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager to support departmental goals. 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate most finishing machines
• Ability to set up some machines without help.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
