Machinist II - 1st Shift

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary.  

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $23/hr - $25/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (rate of pay to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate machine according to standard operating instructions 
• Load stock for the production of component parts
• Safely monitor and maintain equipment 
• Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
• Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School Diploma or equivalent  
• Extensive machine operating experience, performing setups and tool changes, etc.  
• Understanding of shop math, blueprint reading/comprehension and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) 
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
