Position Overview

 

dormakaba is seeking a Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary. This position provides training to lower-level machinists.

 

This position may be available on Third Shift (9:30PM – 6:00AM) with a base pay range of $23/hr. – 30/hr. plus .75 cent shift differential pay and mandatory overtime as needed.

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

 

What you will do

  • Operate machine according to standard operating instructions
  • Document and inspect qualityof work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
  • Set up the robots in varies parts
  • Load and unload visually inspected parts
  • Understand work orders and routings
  • Follow all environmental, health, & safety EHS policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Daily 5S/housekeeping

 

What we require

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience of operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
  • Ability to operate/run multiple machines simultaneously
  • Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
  • Professional communication skills

  • Must be able to sit, stand, alternate sitting or standing at will, and walk
  • Must be able to use hands for seizing, holding, grasping, turning, etc. as well as fine manipulation: touching, picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead & at or below shoulder level
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, and balance
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Must have near & far visual acuity with or without correction
  • Must also be able to effectively communicate within a manufacturing environment
  • Must have the ability to maneuver in a manufacturing facility

  • Documented manufacturing education/training
