POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Program Manager based in Indianapolis, IN or Reamstown, PA. A Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of strategic product development initiatives. These include keeping a detailed and technical view of the program from start to finish, monitoring and reporting on the programs progress through ideation to launch. Program Manager will help identify process deficiencies and communicate best practices within the PMO.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop clear, cross-functional and attainable program plan with well-defined tasks and ownership ensuring that the program remains on the specific timeline
  • Drive project progress through the dormakaba phase gates release process for new product development and remove obstacles/barriers/blockers for the project team to actively mitigate risk to schedule
  • Track and adjust various budgets and spending, look for gaps in work efficiency, communicate with various functional teams and suggest potential changes in the plan
  • Emphasizes the coordinating and prioritizing of resources across projects, managing links between the projects and the overall costs and risks of the program
  • Review overall design concepts as well as detailed designs to assure compliance with product requirements, design specifications and compliance standards

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of your time
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Business or other related field
  • 3+ years minimum project management work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Phase Gate Methodology or Gated/Milestone Process

 

WHAT WE PREFER

  • Skills and experience with Agile Methodology
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in Commercial or Residential Door lockset and hardware design and processing
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Management, Finance or Engineering
