We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our Operations team at dormakaba. This role will be responsible for training, mentor and supervising other employees. This position also has general responsibility for purchasing all raw materials and supplies for the organization.



  • Develops and reviews supply chain operations strategies, goals, objectives and metrics
  • Supports the emphasis on supply chain excellence, new skills, teams and metrics that will eliminate traditional functional silos
  • Selects, trains, develops, and evaluates subordinates and initiate personnel actions in conjunction with Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates necessary projects as directed by management to improve the overall efficiency of the purchasing functions
  • Maintains and updates policies and procedures for the purchasing function.
  • Implements commodity teams to manage the supplier base and drive continuous improvements in quality, cost, cycle time and service
  • Responsible for all aspects of the departmental capital and expense budgets ensuring compliance to budget and company goals
  • Monitors continuous improvement activities that are providing for new sources, products, materials, processes, and ideas
  • Conducts performance management activities according to the performance management process




  • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems preferred
  • Knowledge of developing strategic alliances and partnerships
  • Procurement and purchasing functions knowledge
  • Transportation and logistics knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage, organize and plan time and projects




  • BS degree in Business or related subject
  • MBA preferred
  • Certification in APICS or NAPM preferred
  • 10-12 years Purchasing, Logistics, Materials, Manufacturing or business-related experience
