POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba seeks a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Quality Control Auditor I based in Indianapolis, IN. The Quality Control Auditor I is responsible for auditing individual work cells across operations to include process documentation, product quality, training, and any other actions to ensure process quality, product quality, and promote customer satisfaction.

 

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $20/hr. - $23.50/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Audit products and processes in manufacturing and assembly to ensure adherence to written standards and specifications
  • Report and/or present audit information to appropriate personnel
  • Report the quality audit results on the CLQS and OBQ Reporting in SharePoint; Monitor the Close Loop Quality System boards (CLQS) and verify the data recorded on the CLQS and OBQ Reporting in SharePoint is accurate and complete
  • Perform miscellaneous projects as instructed
  • Assist engineering and operations in troubleshooting problem parts and processes
  • Identify quality product problems 

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience auditing and inspecting manufacturing product and processes

 

WHAT WE PREFER

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel 
  • Extensive knowledge of auditing principles and application 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Knowledge of process improvement tools & techniques

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. 
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day 
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
